Lightweight construction for more breathability and comfort.
Lightweight construction for more breathability and comfort.
Same look as the regular waistband, but with stretch interior trims.
Satin bands on each side of the legs.
What's you'll need:
A fabric measuring tape & a friend you feel
comfortable with.
Wrap the measuring tape around your neck.
Keep it in place and fit one or two fingers between your neck and the tape so that you can guarantee some breathing room when the shirt is buttoned.
Stand up straight with your arms resting comfortably at your sides.
Take measuring tape and wrap it under your armpits through the widest part of your chest.
Be sure that there is enough room so that it's not too tight, and that it's still comfortable.
Measure the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, while standing straight with feet together.
Again, be sure that it is snug, but that there is still room so that it won’t be compressive.
Stand up straight and breathe normally, then wrap the tape measure from the top of your hip bone and over your belly button.
Place a finger between the tape measure and your body so that breathing will be comfortable.
Hold your head up and measure from the center back of your neck (where your neck meets your spine) and measure the distance to your shoulder (the top of your arm).
Take note of this number.
Then, measure from your shoulder (the top of your arm) to the end of your wrist (where your hand begins).
Add the two numbers together to get your sleeve length.
Measure the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, while standing straight with feet together.
Again, be sure that it is snug, but that there is still room so that it won’t be compressive.

Need alterations on your new suit? No problem!
Book nowNeed some help with your Outfit for a Special Event?
Learn moreA man should always make sure that the suit fits through his body, from the shoulders to the waist. This will ensure he looks well put together with no bunching or pulling at any of the seams. It’s important that the suit is not too tight or too loose; otherwise, it can have an adverse effect when wearing it.
Shop Suits Now >Ensuring that a suit fits properly is key for comfort as well; if it’s too tight, it can be restrictive or uncomfortable to move around in. Likewise, if it’s too baggy, then there may be excess fabric that bunches up in places where there shouldn’t be any.
Shop Suits Now >Finding the perfect dress shirt to wear underneath a man's suit can be daunting, especially when it comes to color and style. Here are some useful tips on finding the best dress shirt for a complete, polished look.
Shop Dress Shirts Now >When choosing a dress shirt, first consider the color of your suit as this will determine which colors will create a good contrast. Light gray suits pair well with light-blue or lavender shirts, navy blue suits are ideal with white or light pink shirts, and black suits look great with any color but should be paired with lighter shades such as cream or pale yellow.
Shop Dress Shirts Now >Next, consider the fabric of your suit and find a shirt fabric that complements it. If you have chosen a linen suit, then pick a cotton or silk fabric for your shirt; if you've chosen wool then go for cotton or rayon fabrics; and if you're wearing a tweed suit, try adding texture by opting for thicker fabrics such as corduroy.
Shop Dress Shirts Now >Finally, check out the details of your dress shirt. Button-down collars work well in formal settings while spread collars look fabulous in more casual situations. Meanwhile, cuffs come in two types: French cuffs (formal) and single-button cuffs (casual). Make sure to pick the right one according to the occasion.
Shop Dress Shirts Now >Accessorizing a man's suit can be a great way to add flair and personality to an outfit. It can also help to create a more formal, polished look. The key is to keep it simple and tasteful, as too much accessorizing can make the outfit look overdone or flashy.
Shop Accessories Now >When accessorizing a man's suit, the first step is to choose the right tie and pocket square. A classic solid-color tie pairs nicely with almost any suit, while prints and patterns create a bolder statement. For the pocket square, pick one that complements the color of your tie, either in a matching solid color or in a complementary pattern. A dark pocket square against a light-colored tie looks especially nice.
Shop Accessories Now >Next, you'll probably need a belt, suspenders, or cufflinks for extra polish. Again, try coordinating colors with what you are already wearing, both gold and silver accessories work well with most suits. Be sure to choose quality materials and avoid cheap plastic items that detract from the look of your ensemble.
Shop Accessories Now >Finally finish off your look with some subtle but stylish jewelry pieces like watches, rings, or necklaces. Choose timeless designs in metals such as stainless steel for maximum impact without looking too flashy or ostentatious. Simple pieces like stud earrings or minimalist bracelet designs will also do wonders for rounding out your look without being too over-the-top.
Shop Accessories Now >What you’ll need: a fabric measuring tape and a friend you feel comfortable with.
Neck
Start by placing the tape measure just below your Adam's apple and wrap it around the base of your neck. The tape should fit snugly but not too tight (place 2 fingers between the tape and your neck). Make sure you note this measurement down somewhere as it will be useful when picking out the right size shirt.
When measuring, stand up straight with your shoulders back and ensure that the tape measure is laying flat against your skin without any folds or creases in it. Make sure that both ends of the tape are aligned at the same point on your neck so that you get an accurate measurement.
Chest
For the chest measurement, raise both arms up in the air and wrap a tape measure around the fullest part of your chest below your armpits. Make sure you go all the way around your body, then lower your arms to secure the tape measure. Typically, the widest part of your chest will be around the location of your nipples, so make sure to keep that point in mind when taking this chest measurement.
It's important not to flex or tense any of your chest muscles while measuring as this could result in a larger suit size than necessary.
Shoulder Width
To accurately measure the width of a jacket, it is important to take an over-arm measurement. Begin by placing the tape measure at the joint of one shoulder and extend it across the top of both shoulders, behind the neck, and to the joint of the other shoulder.
Make sure it fits snugly around your body. This will help to ensure that you get an accurate measurement. Moreover, measuring this way will allow you to find a garment with just enough room for comfort and mobility without being too loose or baggy.
Sleeve Length
To accurately measure your sleeve length, start by holding your head upright and measuring the distance from the middle of your neck, where it connects with your spine, to the top of your shoulder. Make sure to note this number. Then, use a tape measure again, this time from your shoulder to the end of your wrist, where your hand begins.
Finally, add the two numbers together for your sleeve length. It's advised that you write down this measurement a few centimeters longer than usual in order to ensure a comfortable fit when wearing shirts. Additionally, you should double-check all measurements before ordering clothing online or picking out items at a store.
Waist
Stand up straight, take the measuring tape and wrap it around the top of your hip bone; bringing it around the front of your body and over your belly button.
Make sure to leave enough space to fit a finger between the tape and your skin, ensuring that you have room for comfortable breathing. Additionally, be sure to keep the tape level with the floor, as this will ensure that you are measuring correctly.
Jacket Length
To get the correct suit jacket length, start by positioning the tape at the base of your neck and run it down the front of your body. Make sure to keep your arms down at your sides and have your hands relaxed over your hips.
Keep running the tape until it reaches your thumb, and that's where you should stop and take note of the measurement. Your jacket length should typically end at around the upper portion of your thigh. This may vary depending on how long or short your arms are in relation to the rest of your body.

Wear your dress shoes when measuring for pants, as they change the way you stand and alter your height. Choose the ones you would typically wear with your pants;
The Waist
Measure the waist size by positioning the tape measure where you normally wear a belt. Wrap the tape measure around your waist, and slide your finger under the tape so that your pants will fit comfortably. Then, take the measurement.
The Outseam
The outseam is the measurement of outside part of the pants leg. We find it by measuring from your waistband to the ground. Position your tape at the top of your waistband at your side.
Then, slide it down to the point where your pants hit your shoes. Take the measurement at the spot where you want your pants to meet your shoes.
The Inseam
To accurately measure your inseam, you want to start by finding the point where your leg meets your groin. This can be done either while standing up, or while laying down in a comfortable position. It's also possible to take this measurement on a pair of pants that fit you well - simply lay the pants on a flat surface, hip side down, and fold one pant leg out of the way.
For an accurate inseam measurement with a tape measure, begin at the highest point of your crotch and measure along the inner leg until you reach the end of your ankle. You can use a friend or family member to help ensure accuracy if necessary.
Make sure to write down this measurement for future reference when shopping for new pants!
The Rise
To determine the best fit for your pants, you must measure the rise from the bottom of your crotch to your waist. Start by taking a tape measure and finding the lowest point of your crotch, then bring it up to where you typically wear your belt.
The different types of rises for pants are normal, short, and high. Normal rise is between 9-12 inches (23-30 cm) and is ideal if you’re an average height. For those who are shorter than average, choosing a short rise which is usually 7-9 inches (18-23 cm) can be very flattering on the body.
Lastly, high rise pants have a rise over 10 inches (25 cm), making them great for those who are taller than 6'0" (1.8 m).
It's essential for a man to have the right fit when wearing a suit because it not only makes him look good, but it helps exude confidence in his appearance. A proper fitting suit will ensure that the wearer looks professional and well put-together.
For instance, if a suit is too large, it may feel uncomfortable and make the wearer appear sloppy while wearing it. On the other hand, if a suit is too small, it might look like the person has outgrown their clothing, which could lead to an equally unprofessional appearance.
The Comfort Level
Ensuring a suit fits properly is key for comfort as well; if it’s too tight, it can be restrictive or uncomfortable to move around in. Likewise, if it’s too baggy, then there may be excess fabric that bunches up in places where there shouldn’t be any.
Length Of Sleeves And Trouser Legs
One essential aspect of getting a good fit is making sure that both sleeves and trouser legs are neither too long nor too short; this helps create a balance between style and comfort levels.
Generally speaking, one should ensure that each sleeve is just a few centimeters from where their wrist bone meets the hand when standing upright with arms slightly bent at the elbow.
Trousers should break slightly against the dress shoe rather than reach above or below them when standing upright with legs straightened out at full length.
Jacket Size
There are two main components to consider when judging jacket size - shoulder width and chest circumference (or waist for slim-fit jackets).
Shoulder width should recline comfortably on one’s shoulder blades without bunching up too much or presenting any significant gaps. Chest circumference/waist size should sit nicely around the torso while allowing enough room to move comfortably when sitting down or bending over at full length.
Again, there shouldn’t be any notable gaps appearing anywhere due to excess fabric rather than ill-fitting silhouette design points.
Shirt Collar Size
An often overlooked element of suit fit is how well one's shirt collar sits around their neck. This dictates how close one's shirt buttons will sit together when wearing the suit (too close being unpractical) as well as how comfortable they will feel throughout wear (if it's too tight then discomfort may occur). Generally speaking, you should allow 2 fingers worth of space between your neck and shirt collar.
This will ensure comfort and practicality during wear as issues such as choking won't occur due to overly-tight fit while also preventing gapping away from the neck which suggests an overly-large size has been selected instead.
Slim Fit Suit
- Waist shape is more defined and sleeves are tighter;
- A slim leg that fits close to the body, with a 7 ¼ inch leg opening.
Tailored Fit Suit
- Narrower fit at the chest and waist is fitted, but straighter than slim;
- Pants hit below the waist with a tailored straight leg, and a 7 ¾ inch leg opening.
Regular Suit
- Roomier at the chest and waist, but still keeping a modern look;
- Blazer length is 1” longer than the Slim & Tailored fits;
- The pant is roomier at the hip, thigh and calves, with a straight and modern shaped leg, and a 7 ¾ inch leg opening.
Finding the perfect dress shirt to wear underneath a man's suit can be daunting, especially when it comes to color and style. Here are some useful tips on finding the best dress shirt for a complete, polished look.
The Right Color
When choosing a dress shirt, first consider the color of your suit as this will determine which colors will create a good contrast. Light gray suits pair well with light-blue or lavender shirts, navy blue suits are ideal with white or light pink shirts, and black suits look great with any color but should be paired with lighter shades such as cream or pale yellow.
A Comfortable Fabric
Next, consider the fabric of your suit and find a shirt fabric that complements it. If you have chosen a linen suit then pick a cotton or silk fabric for your shirt.
If you've chosen wool then go for cotton or rayon fabrics; and if you're wearing a tweed suit try adding texture by opting for thicker fabrics such as corduroy.
Check Out The Details
Finally, check out the details of your dress shirt. Spread collars work well in formal settings while regular collars look fabulous in more casual situations.
Meanwhile, cuffs come in two types: French cuffs (formal) and single-button cuffs (casual). Make sure to pick the right one according to the occasion.
Accessorizing a man's suit can be a great way to add flair and personality to an outfit. It can also help to create a more formal, polished look. The key is to keep it simple and tasteful, as too much accessorizing can make the outfit look overdone or flashy.
Tie And Pocket Square To Bring Fancy Back
When accessorizing a man's suit, the first step is to choose the right tie and pocket square. A classic solid-color tie pairs nicely with almost any suit, while prints and patterns create a bolder statement. For the pocket square, pick one that complements the color of your tie, either in a matching solid color or in a complementary pattern. A dark pocket square against a light-colored tie looks especially nice.
Belt, Suspenders And Cufflinks To Add Style
Next, you'll probably need a belt, suspenders or cufflinks for extra polish. Again, try coordinating colors with what you are already wearing; both gold and silver accessories work well with most suits. Be sure to choose quality materials and avoid cheap plastic items that detract from the look of your ensemble.
Jewelry For A Neat Look
Finally finish off your look with some subtle but stylish jewelry pieces like watches, rings or necklaces. Choose timeless designs in metals such as stainless steel for maximum impact without looking too flashy or ostentatious.
Simple pieces like stud earrings or minimalist bracelet designs will also do wonders for rounding out your look without being too over-the-top.
